Creating a Text or article
You need to RESEARCH the information for your topic by reading written text, watching video's or listening to podcasts or a teachers 'lecture'. If you are reading texts, skim reading or scanning may help you.
Once you have started to research by reading, watching or listening, you must begin to take notes.
Note taking tips:
When reading the recommended articles or surfing the web;
1. Only record key words/phrases (usually nouns and verbs, sometimes adjectives and adverbs)
2. Record where you got the information from (e.g. source: www.ngkids.co.uk)
3. Organise your notes by subheading e.g. different types of physical activity, benefits of being active (mental, social and physical), local
opportunities to be physically active, my physical activity diary etc.
4. Try to use the style of note taking you will adopt at college or university. Getting into the habit now, will mean that you are an expert by the time you really need to be :0)

After you have taken down your notes, you need to decide on a plan and style of presentation for your information. What will be the best way to show or tell your target audience the information you have gathered?
Once you have decided on the format and style and have put in the appropriate content you should always PROOF READ, ideally get someone else to proof read as its very easy to miss things out when you have created the article or product.
